Terms of Service — Salvage Digital

1. Service Description

Salvage Digital provides professional photo and file recovery services from physical storage media, including memory cards, SD cards, micro SD cards, USB drives, compact flash cards, and similar devices. Recovery is performed locally using professional software.

2. No-Recovery, No-Charge Policy

If we are unable to recover any files from your device, you will not be charged for the recovery service. This guarantee applies to the base recovery fee only.

3. Non-Refundable Pickup Fee

If you selected our device pickup service, the pickup fee is non-refundable regardless of whether recovery is successful. This fee compensates for travel time and fuel costs incurred to collect your device.

4. Pricing & Payment

Recovery pricing is tiered by device storage capacity. Your final invoice may include: the base recovery fee, a pickup fee (if selected), a device cost (if physical delivery is chosen), and shipping costs (if applicable). Payment is due after recovery is confirmed and before file delivery.

5. Data Privacy

We do not view, copy, share, or use your personal photos for any purpose other than the recovery service. Recovered files are stored securely and are only accessible to you. Files are deleted from our systems 30 days after case closure.

6. Device Handling

We will handle your device with reasonable care. However, we are not liable for further damage that may occur during the recovery process, as the device is already in a compromised state. Do not attempt to access or write to the device after it fails — this can overwrite recoverable data.

7. Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the fees paid for the recovery service. We are not responsible for any consequential, incidental, or indirect damages arising from the loss of data.
